Between the skyline in the banking district and the half-timbered houses of the Römer, Frankfurt offers a great quality of life. Parks and green belts, the city forest and the Mainufer, and visits to the zoo the Palmengarten, and free and indoor swimming pools, offer some respite from the everyday life of a hectic office. In addition, the city offers the shopping options of the modern shopping centre at the Zeil and the farmers' markets in the quarters. And although the city on the Main thinks globally, it remains a large city with short distances, because going by bicycle from the Ostend to the Westend takes 20 minutes - and only a half hour by foot!
