
The WHU - Otto Beisheim School of Management is a private business school at university level and has the right to award PhDs and professorships. WHU is based in Vallendar, near Koblenz.
WHU is committed to "Excellence in Management Education" and pursues this goal in academic programs, research, and executive education & business engagement.
The range of courses includes a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science program, a full-time MBA program, a part-time MBA program located in Düsseldorf, the Kellogg-WHU Executive MBA programme and the Bucerius/WHU Master of Law and Business - Joachim Herz program (MLB). In addition to these courses, WHU offers a European Summer Institute, European programs and the customized management programs which are tailored to the needs of the particular enterprise.
WHU is one of the few German business schools with international accreditations. In 1998, WHU was the first German business school to be awarded the EQUIS (European Quality Improvement System) Certificate of the European Foundation for Management Development. As of December 2010, WHU has officially been accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB International). WHU is consistently placed among the top schools in national and international rankings.
Currently there are 27 professors, 16 assistant professors and 9 centres, which are combined in so-called "Groups."

Prof. Dr. Markus Rudolf is the chairman of the Finance Group and head of the Center of Private Banking.
Professor Dr. Paul Achleitner (member of the management board of Allianz SE) and Professor Dr. Axel Wieandt (managing director, investment banking Credit Suisse) are honorary professors.
