House of Finance, Westend Campus
The specialist field of economics at the Goethe University traditionally places its emphasis within the areas of finance, money and currency, the law of corporations and finance and information systems in the financial sector.
The House of Finance bundles such finance-related research and teaching expertise at one location and, in this way, can exploit academic synergy potentials and develop new initiatives and programmes.
Together with 150 researchers (thereof, nearly 30 professors), the institutions located in the House of Finance pursue the common goal of strengthening research and teaching in the field of finance. In addition to the traditional departments of finance, money and currency in the specialist field of economics and the law of corporations and finance in the specialist field of jurisprudence, a total of nine additional research institutions contribute to the academic reputation of the House of Finance.
In addition to the rapid implementation of new research findings in teaching, the newly created infrastructure forms the basis for an intensive and individual support of students at an international level, thereby counting graduate training as a cornerstone of the House of Finance. It is directed at a new generation of academics in all fields of the modern financial system. The professors of the House of Finance are merging all subjects into the teachings of the courses of study of the specialist fields of law and economics.
